 Word of the Day for the meeting was ‘Eclectic’, which means coming from many different sources; a variety of types and styles; various, diverse.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

1.         CATRIJIN’S CORNER, Saturday, November 26, 2011(Jerry Kim GOMEZ)

Catrijin’s Corner, a play written by Toastmasters Melanie Steyn who is the President of Suncheon Toastmasters, will be in Suncheon on Saturday, November 26, 2011. Jerry Kim GOMEZ suggested that we would rather take a bus to Suncheon than get on a train because it takes about 5 hours in comparison to the bus, which takes about 2 and half hours to the city. Plus, he said he was thinking of having M.T after the play. If you would like to join festivities, please contact, Jerry HWANG or Jerry Kim GOMEZ.

2.        OFFICERS TRAINING(Jerry HWANG)

On December 3rd, all the newly elected Area 60 Officers will be trained. All members are welcomed. Also Area 70 will be joining us as well along with other Toastmasters in Korea, maybe. So mark your calendar and learn about servant leadership.

 The Table Topics Master of the day was Sang-Je KIM. The theme of the session was ‘Choice’ if we are torn between two things in an emergency. And he prepared a session where he would announce the topic, and then call a Toastmaster up to the stage to respond.

The General Evaluator, Evelyn GO said,

At the end of the meeting, the meeting was a bit behind of schedule, but it started on time.

Her evaluation team learned a lot on the day.

If the members had voluntarily joined the table topics session of the day, it would have been better.

Ballot sheet needs some spaces for Toastmaster, General Evaluator, Evaluator, and Table Topics Master.

Fiona AV HAYSOM encouraged Go Getters Toastmasters for the conference on the weekend and said there is one more KTX ticket to Seoul.

Jerry Kim GOMEZ moved that the membership bring kittens to the meeting and it was seconded by Andy Kim, Hong-Jun LEE, and Marie CHUNG.

The meeting started late: 7:50PM because we had a lot of guests and we were excited about that. The Toastmaster of the evening was Ken AHN.  It was his first time as Toastmaster and he did a remarkable job.

Announcements

Business Session Back on the Agenda: From the meeting on October 18, 2011, ANNOUNCEMENTS and MOTIONs will be printed back on the agenda.

Fall Conference: GGTM is invited to register and attend the Fall National Conference as on the back of the agenda. The website to register for the conference is www.koreatm.org. If you register for the conference, you will meet other fellow members dedicated to Toastmasters International in Korea, experience big one, and get motivated. Plus, if you register before October 22, 2011, you will be able to get EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT GOOD at 42,000 KRW.

GGTM Officers: Current GGTM Officers will serve until June 30, 2012 and there will be an election for the next officers in April or May, 2012.


Chartering Party: GGTM charters, all the members will have a big party to celebrate.

Business Cards: E-mail Jerry Kim GOMEZ at koreatcarea60@gmail.com if whoever in GGTM membership wants it.

     

Andy KIM will be taking over as lead mentor for GGTM for his High Performance Leadership manual. Later, he will be telling why he is doing High Performance Manual.

All GGTM members are on baby level of MOTION, so all the members practiced how to do it.

MOTIONS

Motion: Jerry HWANG moved that the GGTM member should go bowling for outing on October 29th because he thinks it’s much better to get close each other than ice skating, and it was seconded by Andy KIM.
