BUSINESS SESSION

ANNOUNCEMENTS

1.        Area Governor Visiting (Jerry HWANG)

Area Governor will start to visit from the end of Feb.

2.       Election for VPM (Jerry HWANG)

Hong Jun Lee, the former VPM, is now working in Seoul.

We need to elect the new GGTM VPM.

Scarlet OH nominated Hyun Mi YU as one of candidates for the position and Hyun Mi YU accepted.

Anne AHN, the other nominee, made a short speech to step down.

As a result of the election, Hyun Mi YU was unanimously elected as the new VPM.

3.       Club Contest (Jerry HWANG)

GGTM was supposed to have a club contest on 14^th February, 2012, but the contest is not going to happen. The reason is lack of the number of the contestant. Sang Je Kim was the only one who came up for the club contest. In other words, he is the speech representative of GGTM for further contests in the future.

Hence, GGTM has a regular meeting next week. However, there is going to be something different. Unlike a regular meeting, Sang Je is going to have a speech in the prepared speech session for the area contest and everybody else in the meeting will evaluate his speech. It is called ‘Club Evaluation’.

4.       Area Contest

Area Contest holds on March 17, 2012. The venue will be announced soon.

5.       Spring Conference 2012

Spring Conference 2012 is going to be held on April 28^th and 29^th.

6.       Due collection (Jerry HWANG)

Due for renewal is supposed to be collected by Mar 5^th.

Table Topics speakers who speak under 1 minute or over 2 minutes are not eligible for the Best Table Topics Speaker Award.

The Table Topics Master of the day was Anne AHN. The theme was Sports. She prepared a session where she would announce the topic, and then call a Toastmaster up to the stage to respond.

GGTM club contest is going to be held on February 14^th, 2012.

Roles for the contest need to be taken.

We need new VPM because our former VPM, Hong Jun LEE, ended up working in Seoul.

4.       Area Contest

Area Contest has to be completed by March 31^st, 2012.

The meeting started on time. It was impressive that every member gave a big applause to the guests who camp up the stage. There was the best refreshment so that all people at the meeting could enjoy all sessions.

All the members of GGTM need to sit next to guests so that guests can get some information about Toastmasters. For the timer, notice the time 2 or 3 minutes before the end of the break.

Jerry Kim GOMEZ moved that Go Getters Toastmasters should fine for the refreshments via Lottery system. It was seconded by Andy KIM, and Fiona.

The motion passed by 8 Ayes, 1 Nay, and 1 abstention.

P.S 1. ACTION: Fiona HAYSOM creates the Lottery for the refreshments.

SUCCESSFUL CLUB SERIES

To celebrate Go Getters chartered help the members, Jerry Kim GOMEZ gave a presentation to every member in the previous meeting about How to Be a Distinguish Club. The presentation was informative and encouraging to set our goals.
